Crayola Experience
Crayola Experience opened in 2016 on Level 3 in the south-east corner, at mall address 300 South Avenue; the East Ramp is the nearest parking. The listing counts 26 hands-on attractions and the mall directory says “more than 20”. Visitors name and wrap their own crayon, appear in their own colouring page, melt crayons into charms and spin art, watch a live show on how crayons are made and try 4-D art. The ticket includes one custom wrapped crayon, one Model Magic clay packet and a voucher for a washable Scribble Scrubbie pet. Kiaja mentioned making a crayon and seeing the design on the wall. A 38-year-old traveller expected a toddler attraction and found it was for all ages.
The ticket is a flexible-date day ticket, valid for one day’s admission within 14 days of the chosen date. Café Crayola and a Snack Shack sell food; outside food and drink are not allowed. Only clear bags pass the security check, and a wristband allows re-entry the same day. The Escape Game
The Escape Game is on Level 3, east side, at 300 East Broadway. One ticket is one 60-minute game in one of seven rooms: The Depths, Cosmic Crisis, Gold Rush, Prison Break, Special Ops: Mysterious Market, The Heist and Mission: Mars. A game guide leads each group and gives unlimited hints, and every game spans several rooms. Locked doors have emergency-exit buttons at all times. Groups are capped at eight players, and a booking may be paired with other guests; Anthony wrote that he met new people. Heather described the puzzles as high-tech and interactive rather than a set of padlocks. One group found Special Ops very hard without help, and another enjoyed The Heist.
The game is recommended for ages 13 and over. Under-14s have to be accompanied by an adult, and under-18s need an adult to sign the waiver. The meeting point depends on the room booked. Museum of Illusions
Museum of Illusions opened on 5 May 2023 on Level 2, north side, at 281 Central Parkway. Free parking at the North Entrance, 2100 Lindau Lane, is the closest. More than 50 interactive exhibits play with gravity and perspective, including illusion rooms, holograms and installations. It is wheelchair accessible and the ticket is valid for one day. Hours are not stated on the listing. The ticket is non-refundable, the only one of the seven attractions without free cancellation. Reviews split: Tim mentioned a staff member, Margo, who took photos and explained the exhibits, and Shynovia found it challenging but fun and educational. Two 18-hole mini-golf courses
Moose Mountain Adventure Golf is on Level 3, north side, at 376 North Garden. Its 18 holes have a north-woods theme with a life-size moose, horses, a logging truck, a steam train and a biplane, and the course is fully wheelchair accessible. Rock of Ages Blacklight Mini Golf is on Level 3, east side, at 336 East Broadway. Its 18 holes glow under black light and follow music from the 1950s to today, with a jukebox, a classic car, a submarine, a boom box and a studded glove. A glowing putter and ball come with the ticket, and Heather mentioned the black lights and the glowing drawings.
Both courses keep the same hours: 11 am to 8 pm Monday to Thursday, 10 am to 9 pm Friday and Saturday, and 11 am to 7 pm on Sunday, as published; check before travelling. On Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day they open 11 am to 6 pm, and both close on Christmas Day. Children aged 5 and under play free with one paid adult admission per child. Each ticket is valid for one round on the scheduled day, and Peggy noted that electronic vouchers are accepted at the entrance. No food, drink or large bags; Rock of Ages also bans alcohol.
