The SEA LIFE Minnesota ticket is general admission to the aquarium on Level 1, east side of Mall of America, at mall address 120 East Broadway. It holds 1.3 million gallons of water, a 300-foot walk-through tunnel, sharks, rays and rescued sea turtles. A typical visit takes about an hour, and the ticket is valid for one day.
What happens, step by step
The East ramp is the nearest parking, and the Mall of America light-rail station is on its ground floor. The getting there page covers the Blue Line and the driving exits.
- Arrive by the East ramp or the station and walk to Level 1, east side.
- Show the ticket at the entrance. Food, drink, luggage and large bags are not allowed inside.
- Follow the path through the aquarium. The listing names a rainforest section with caiman crocodiles and poison dart frogs, jellyfish, seahorses, and a Ray Lagoon where stingrays are fed.
- Walk the 300-foot tunnel, with the water around and above the path.
- See Shark Cove, with sand tiger, nurse, brown and whitetip reef sharks. The mall’s directory also mentions a 14-foot sawfish there.
- Look for the sea turtles, including a rescued green sea turtle with a 3D-printed shell, and the guitarshark babies.
Most visits take about an hour. The attraction closes one hour after the last ticket entry. From 3 pm, the mall’s Parental Escort Policy applies inside SEA LIFE too: anyone under 16 must be with an adult aged 21 or over.

Who it suits, and who it does not
It suits groups of mixed ages. Wendy from the US came with a family aged from 9 months to 64, and Gwen found it good for all ages. It also fits a short stop between trains, since the station is in the East ramp. The aquarium page has its history, from UnderWater World in 1996 to SEA LIFE in 2011.
